Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

I absolutely love RareTea! As a boba lover this place has always been a special haven for me. My go-to order is a mango passionfruit green tea with boba. Their drinks are delicious and refreshing, and I highly recommend giving it a try.

Got the banana matcha and was so disappointed with it. Super watery and bitter. Could be better. $10 down the drain. Adding another star because the boba was decent. It's one of the few boba places in this area, and I'm sad it's not meeting my criteria.

Date of visit: Saturday, April 4th, 2026, around 7:00 PM. Management needs to address the severe lack of service, poor communication, and misleading ordering practices during this shift. The problem here isn't with their drinksβ€”their products are actually good. I’ve ordered the banana matcha before and enjoyed it, and the Mango Coconut + Noodle drink is my mom’s absolute go-to order. However, I will definitely not be returning here if this specific evening crew is working because of how poorly my order was handled: β€’ NO GREETING: When I walked into the store, all the workers (two girls and one guy) were just talking amongst themselves in the back. There was no "hi" or "hello" from anyone. β€’ RUDE ORDER TAKING: One of the girls approached the register and just asked, "What can I get for you?" Her vibes were completely off, making it clear she didn't want to be there. When I asked if the Mango Coconut + Noodle drink came with mango jelly or if they had mango toppings, she wouldn't even offer a recommendation. She just pointed to the counter menu and said, "No, these are all the toppings we have," even though they had two mango options right there. After I paid, she didn't confirm t

Came in for a couple drinks and the vibe was just off from the start. The first worker already seemed like they didn’t wanna be there, which whatever, it happens. But then another girl came out to help and her attitude was even worseβ€”barely said a word, didn’t label any of the drinks even though we asked for different sweetness levels. One of the drinks wasn’t even sealed right and was leaking. When we took it back, she just looked at us, grabbed it kinda aggressively, fixed the lid, and handed it back like we were bothering her or something. Like I get work can suck sometimes, but if you really hate being there that much, don’t take it out on customers. Just made the whole experience feel uncomfortable. I go here like twice a month. I live 1 hour away. I enjoy the drinks, but it's tough to find my favorite drinks. The menu keeps changing, and that's not a good thing. I constantly have to guess which of their drinks are good and which are cold shaved ice. I prefer the Mango, strawberry, coconut, and Lychee drinks. My last lychee drink was extremely flavorless. The owner has a great attitude, but every employee there always seems angry to be at work. Go for the drinks, not the customer service.
